How to use FlexPDE6 in SVOFFICE5

By default, SVOFFICE5 maps to FlexPDE7. However, if you have a FlexPDE version 6 dongle (see article 'Is my FlexPDE dongle a version 6 or version 7?' for distinction between FlexPDE dongles), you will need to use FlexPDE6 software. Follow these steps to enable the FlexPDE version 6 dongle in SVOFFICE 5.

1. Install FlexPDE6 ("FlexPDE6 64-Bit Installer") from this webpage: https://soilvision.com/support/downloads
2. Once FlexPDE6 installation is complete, adjust the SVOFFICE5 "Solver Path" to use FlexPDE6 rather than FlexPDE7 (default)
   1. Open SVOFFICE
   2. In SVOFFICE Manager move to Expert Mode
   3. Select Options > Global Settings
   4. Move to the Solver tab and under the "FlexPDE Solver Path" click "Browse...". Browse to FlexPDE6, which should be installed on the C: drive (default location)
   5. Click OK
3. Register FlexPDE version 6 dongle
   1. Plug in FlexPDE dongle
   2. Open FlexPDE6
   3. Select Help > Register FlexPDE
   4. Select "DONGLE" then Continue
   5. Click Read Dongle

SVOFFICE should now recognize the FlexPDE version 6 dongle.
