Where do I see this message:
This message will be a line entry in the Authorization Log.
What does this mean:
Case A: This indicates a typo in the activation code.
Case B: This indicates that the default software license file is not correct. In this case the message is preceded by the line "Missing product key: StatusOk". Below is an example of the relevant section of the authorization log:
9/27/2013 3:04:08 PM ----ENTER CODE----
9/27/2013 3:04:08 PM WRITE AUTHORIZATION - SVSlope
9/27/2013 3:04:08 PM Missing product key: StatusOk
9/27/2013 3:04:08 PM Failed to activate software license: InvalidParameter {501}
9/27/2013 3:04:08 PM License server reported: StatusOk {0}
What should you try:
Case A: Check to see that the code was typed correctly in the the authorization field. Sometimes copying and pasting will change a digit in the code or a capitalization.
Case B: Re-install the latest version of SVOffice2009. Ensure the option to install the HASP drivers is selected. A computer restart may also be required.
Open a web browser and visit the URL http://localhost:1947/. This is a diagnostic page that lists the authorization keys available to your computer. If this page is missing, then do you not have the latest drivers installed. (See:Where do I get the latest usb key drivers)
If this page opens up, click on the Administration Option (left-hand side of screen) and click on HASP keys.
When plugged into your local computer, a listing in the table with Key Type = HASP SL Legacy will be present if the default software license is correct, similar to this:
