What does this mean:
This shows that a HASP software license is installed but the computer is not registering that there is a hardlock dongle plugged in.
What should you try:
There may be a problem with the physical key itself, the Hub it is plugged into, or the USB port it is plugged into. Check to see if the key lights up. If you do not see a red light on the key, try the following:
- Unplug the dongle from the USB hub and plug it directly into the USB port
- Try plugging the dongle directly into an alternate USB port.
- Try plugging the dongle into a USB port on another computer.
If the dongle does not light up after trying these three options, send an email to contact@soilvision.com with the subject title "Dongle key malfunction". Please include the following information:
- Your name
- Your organization's name
- Your email
- The serial number of your dongle
If your dongle lights up when plugged in, this may indicate a need to re-install the HASP drivers.
To check and see if they installed properly perform the following:
Open a web browser and visit the URL http://localhost:1947/. This is a diagnostic page that lists all dongles (network and local) available to your computer. If this page is missing, then do you not have the latest drivers installed.
If this page opens up, click on the Administration Option (left-hand side of screen) and click on HASP keys.
When plugged into your local computer, your SoilVision dongle key should have a listing in the table similar to this:
When plugged into your local computer, your FlexPDE dongle key should have a listing in the table similar to this:
If your computer does not open up this webpage, your HASP drivers are not installed. If your webpage does not show an entry for a dongle plugged into your computer as shown above, you should try re-installing the HASP drivers using the following instructions:
Step 1: Uninstall all existing Hasp dongle drivers.
This is accomplished by going to Start > Control Panel > Add/Remove Programs and removing all drivers with phrases such as "Hasp Device Driver", "Aladdin HASP", or "Sentinel HASP".
Step 2: Re-start your computer. This step is required to complete the device driver removal.
Step 3: Download and re-install the HASP driver from our download page
Step 4: Confirm the correct drivers are installed by visiting the URL http://localhost:1947/ and performing the same check as above.
