Workstation dongle
Single-user dongles are the most common type of purchase made for SVOffice. These work with individual PCs and laptops and are transported from computer to computer whenever a user needs access to the full version of SVOffice.
Network dongle
In larger offices, especially where use of SVOffice might be shared between more than one user, or where software is managed by an IT department, a network dongle may be the superior solution. The network dongle is plugged into a server computer and the individual PCs or laptops communicate through the network to obtain the license authorization for a full version of SVOffice. Network licenses can be purchased for 1 - 10 simultaneous users.
The License Manager can be centrally managed from a protected server, which also protects the dongle itself. The license can be requested when needed from any computer with SVOffice installed (or, in the case of a fully networked environment, from the virtual computer you log in to). Generally speaking, we do not support the use of single-user dongles in virtual environments, although they may work in some cases.
