SVSOLID/GT: observe results at nodes

Results, such as displacements or stresses, can be observed/exported from a solved SVSOLID model. Output results can be obtained for either a range in the model, or specific points. To obtain results for points, the user must specify the point locations and the corresponding result outputs for these points, before generating the mesh – this mesh generation will consider these points, creating nodes at each point location. After the model is solved, the user can observe the results at these points, in graphical or tabled format.

Procedure:

In SVSOLID model:

• Results tab > Graph Manager > move to the Point tab 
  • For multiple points, select Multiple Entry
  • Adjust variable for intended result output and use available options to create points on model canvas
  • Click OK to close Graph Manager dialog
• Generate Mesh
  • Mesh tab > Generate
    • This generates a new mesh that incorporates points as mesh nodes
• Solve Model

In ACUMESH:

• Graphs tab > Graph Manager > move to the Point tab
• Select all points and click Graph
• Select the Data icon in the Point Graph dialog ribbon to display tabled results
• Another option is to access the text file results
  • File > Open Model Directory > Open the output folder > Select data file
